MIKE & ROB JEUKENS
Op de Southern Bluesnight 2022 mochten Mike & Rob Jeukens (als winnaars van de B.R.U.L.-contest 2021) met hun Delta-blues de aftrap voor hun rekening nemen. De ‘stamp of approval’ van de kwaliteit van de muziek van vader Rob (bluesharp) en zoon Mike (gitaren en zang).

THE BLUES CREW
Handelsmerk van de winnaars van de B.R.U.L.-contest 2022 is authentieke, ol’ skool blues, variërend van akoestische country-blues tot elektrisch repertoire van recentere datum. Blues zoals die oorspronkelijk bedoeld was: direct – sprankelend – pakkend, van toen en nu. Een repertoire dat een breed palet aan stijlen en nummers omvat vanaf begin vorige eeuw tot vandaag de dag en variërend tussen gipsy-swing tot Taj Mahal en vroege ZZ-Top.

Maastrichts’ trots is inmiddels een van de langst bestaande rockbands van Nederland met een indrukwekkende staat van dienst. Spelend sinds 1979 en nog steeds springlevend na vele Europese tours en albums; meest recente is Waitin’. Hun muziek laat zich normaal het best omschrijven als stevige rockbluesmuziek gebaseerd op de roots van onze hedendaagse populaire muziek, maar voor de Blues Experience presenteren ze hun repertoire semi-akoestisch… something completely different.

At the Southern Bluesnight 2022, Mike & Rob Jeukens (as winners of the 2021 B.R.U.L. contest) were allowed to kick off with their Delta blues. The 'stamp of approval' of the quality of the music of father Rob (blues harp) and son Mike (guitars and vocals).

THE BLUES CREW
Trademark of the winners of the 2022 B.R.U.L. contest is authentic, ol' skool blues, ranging from acoustic country blues to more recent electric repertoire. Blues as it was originally intended: direct - sparkling - catchy, from then and now. A repertoire that includes a wide palette of styles and songs from the beginning of the last century to the present day and ranging from gypsy-swing to Taj Mahal and early ZZ-Top.

THE LIBERATORS
Maastrichts' pride is now one of the longest existing rock bands in the Netherlands with an impressive track record. Playing since 1979 and still alive after many European tours and albums; most recent is Waitin'. Their music is normally best described as solid rock blues music based on the roots of our contemporary popular music, but for the Blues Experience they present their repertoire semi-acoustic… something completely different.
